Fontainebleau remains one of the world’s greatest bouldering destinations, with around 40,000 documented problems across 287 climbing areas, covering virtually every grade — from beginner circuits and 3s/4s through 5s and 6s, hundreds of 7s and some of the hardest 8s in the world.
Following the summer wildfires, around 90% of the Fontainebleau massif was unaffected.
Some fire-affected areas may remain closed for recovery and safety, but extensive climbing remains available with thousands of problems across a range of grades.
