25.09-28.09.26 Fontainebleau Bouldering Trip Vol 2
π Bouldering Fontainebleau Trip
Four days of world-class bouldering, French food, beautiful forests and adventure.
Why Fontainebleau?
Just south of Paris lies the legendary Fontainebleau Forest, home to over 25,000 sandstone boulder problems scattered through ancient woodland.
Fontainebleau attracts climbers from all over the world, but itβs far from being just a destination for elite climbers.
With thousands of problems ranging from complete beginner level to world-class test pieces, it is one of the most accessible climbing destinations on Earth.
Whether youβre climbing your first ever rock, improving your outdoor skills, enjoying French culture, exploring ancient forests or simply looking for a memorable long weekend with great people, this trip is for you.
More Than Just a Climbing Trip
With up to 16 people on the trip there will always be someone to climb with, spot you on a problem, explore a village with, share a meal with or join around a meal in the evening.
Expect shared meals, evening socials, chats and plenty of laughs throughout the trip..
Many people join Hackney Climb Bus trips on their own and leave having made new climbing partners and friends.
Day 1 β The Journey Begins
We leave London early and head towards Dover.
After boarding the ferry to France, grab breakfast, a coffee and head out onto the deck as we depart. On a clear day youβll enjoy spectacular views of the White Cliffs of Dover before they slowly disappear into the distance.
The ferry crossing itself is part of the adventure.
After arriving in France we continue south towards Fontainebleau, reaching the forest in time for an evening climbing session.
Day 2 β Climb, Explore & Relax
Wake up to fresh coffee, croissants, baguettes, cheese and local French produce.
Spend a day climbing in the best weather of the year ( still nice to hang around the forest but cool enough to send harder problems) .
Day 3 β Climb or Explore
A flexible day for everyone.
Spend another full day climbing or explore the beautiful villages and historic towns surrounding the forest.
Weβll regroup in the evening for another shared meal and good company.
Day 4 β Final Session & Return
One final morning climbing session before we begin our journey back to London.
Weβll catch the afternoon ferry and aim to return by approximately 11pm.
